10 Scriptures for Financial Freedom!

We have all heard the scripture quoted “For the love of money is the root of all evil…” 1 Timothy 6:10

And I believe that because of the misrepresentation of this scripture, people often fear money. People fear having too much because it could cause them to have an evil spirit. Yes, I know…it sounds silly. But it’s not.

How many people are struggling financially that wish they could stop living from paycheck to paycheck? How many people have said prayers for financial freedom? If you are one of those people, then keep reading!

In my daily Bible study/reading, I have been studying on the subject of money and what the Bible has to say about it. While I agree with the fact that money can cause a lot of issues, I have to say that the green paper bill itself is not the reason for problems.

If you take a closer look at 1 Timothy 6:10, you will see that it is written: “for the love of money”. The issue goes much deeper than how much money you have in your wallet or purse. In the hands of a sinful soul, it can do irreparable damage. But in the hands of a God-fearing, Christ-loving soul, it can be of such great use!

I challenge you to pray over these bible verses about financial blessings and ask God to give you a different mindset. Then you’ll realize Christian financial freedom is possible!

Scriptures About Financial Wealth

Wealth is an abundance of valuable possessions or money. The state of being rich; material prosperity. Plentiful supplies of a particular resource.

Wealth does not necessarily mean rich.

Wealth means being mindful of your finances and building upon something that God has given you favor over. It’s about being mindful of the purchases you make and how you choose to spend your money.

1. Proverbs 8:20-21 CEV “I always do what is right, and I give great riches to everyone who loves me”

2. Proverbs 13:11 KJV “Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished: but he that gathereth by labour shall increase.”

3. Deuteronomy 8:18 ASV “But though shalt remember Jehovah thy God, for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth; that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as at this day.”

4. Proverbs 10:22 KJV “The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.”

5. Matthew 6:25-26 CEV “ I tell you not to worry about your life. Don’t worry about having something to eat, drink, or wear. Isn’t life more than food or clothing? Look at the birds in the sky! They don’t plant or harvest. They don’t even store grain in barns. Yet your Father in heaven takes care of them. Aren’t you worth much more than birds?”

6. John 21:6 KJV “And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes.”

7. 2 Corinthians 9:8 NLT “And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.”

8. 2 Corinthians 9:10 NLT “For God is the one who provides seed for the farmer and then bread to eat. In the same way, he will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity in you.”

Bible Verses About Financial Blessing

And last but not least, my favorite passage of scripture in the Bible concerning blessings and finance. This is my go-to finance scripture when I need reminding that God has everything under control.

9. Deuteronomy 28:1, 3-6, 8 NLT “If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully keep all his commands that I am giving you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the world. Your towns and your fields will be blessed. Your children and your crops will be blessed. The offspring of your herds and flocks will be blessed. Your fruit baskets and breadboards will be blessed. Where you go and whatever you do, you will be blessed. The Lord will guarantee a blessing on everything you do and will fill your storehouses with grain. The Lord your God will bless you in the land he is giving you.”

10. Deuteronomy 28:11-12 NLT “The Lord will give you prosperity in the land he swore to your ancestors to give you, blessing you with many children, numerous livestock, and abundant crops. The Lord will send rain at the proper time from his rich treasury in the heavens and will bless all the work you do. You will lend to many nations, but you will never need to borrow from them.”

As you have read in these scriptures, there are many times God speaks about blessing His children and how we have nothing to fear when it comes to finances. Stop living paycheck to paycheck. Wealth is not a bad thing. The book of Proverbs actually states that it is a sign of wisdom.

As my husband has said many times before, “the devil has had control of God’s money long enough.” My sweet friends, it is time for us, as Christians, to rise up and claim victory over our finances so that we can be used in His Kingdom the way He needs us to be used.

I hope that you can see that there are many wonderful scriptures on financial blessings, scriptures on financial abundance, scriptures on financial breakthrough, scriptures on financial prosperity, scriptures on finances in general and there are even scriptures on debt freedom. Everything that you need can be found in God’s word!

Bible Scriptures on Finances

Finances is defined as the management of large amounts of money. One could not talk about scriptures for finances and not bring out the most important scripture regarding finances, which is Malachi 3:10
“10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.”

If you’ve never studied on tithes, or are unsure of what this involves, read Why Should I Pay Tithes.

All of these scriptures mentioned are also bible verses for financial struggles, scriptures on financial increase, scriptures on financial provision.

Highlight these scriptures in your Bible and go over them everyday. Pray and believe that God will do what He has said in His word.
